The Congo is one of the oldest carnival costumes. The dress is typical of a warrior dance originated in Congo, Africa. It is known in Colombia through the councils of African blacks that were held in Cartagena. They wear a turban adorned with very attractive counterfeit flowers. From the back of the turban there is a long tail that almost reaches the heels, adorned with ribbons, bows, lace, etc. In the front of the turban they have one or more mirrors. The man goes with his face painted white, red circles on his cheeks and wearing dark glasses.
